Having a motivational workout partner is the best and least expensive way to get into shape! Having a personal trainor definitely has its benefits, but there is nothing more fun than engaging in a workout with your better half. I am an avid Barry's Bootcamp attendee, and I decided to drag my husband (boyfriend at the time)! to a class; actually it was Hell Week. He was busy with work and stopped findin the time to exercise, and I thought signing up for Hell Week (8 classes in 7 days) together would be a perfect yet semi-torturous way to get him back into shape. We're married now, so clearly it wasn't that awful! Barry's Bootcamp has classes practically every hour of the day, so it was easy to find a class that fit into our schedules. If you haven't attended a Barry's Bootcamp class, this is what happens in the hour: 15 minutes of treadmill work, then 15 minutes of weights, and you switch again. Or 30 minutes of treadmill work, 30 minutes of weights. The instructors are so motivational, as is the blasting music that they play, and the dim lighting with colorful beams makes it seem like you are in a club, kind of. Grab your partner and give it a shot, BB is an amazing way to tone those abs and get fit fast, and it is quite addicting! They have 3 locations in New York: NoHo, Tribeca and Chelsea.
