MATCHA CHIA PUDDING
December 10, 2014
My husband had an early start this morning so I made him a quick chia seed pudding last night with matcha green tea powder. Chia seed pudding is a quick breakfast you can make the night before as it is best when left in the fridge overnight and eaten the next day. Adding the matcha gave it an extra flavor and health boost. Matcha is known for his high antioxidant and vitamin levels, detox effort, and can increase energy levels and reduce stress -- perfect for a long day of work.

Ingredients:
2 tbsp chia seeds
1 1/4 cup almond milk (or whatever milk you prefer)
1 tbsp Matcha Green Tea powder
2 tbsp agave, honey or maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions:
Whisk together the milk, matcha tea, sweetener and vanilla extract. Add the chia and mix well. Put the mixture into a container and place it in the refridgerator. After 20 minutes, stir the mixture to ensure that there are no lumps of chia seeds. Leave overnight and enjoy in the morning! Top with fresh berries or chopped walnuts for a delicious and healthy breakfast.
