CLEAN GREEN SMOOTHIE

I tend to crave smoothies, or not want them at all. I do like having them often when it's warm out, so definitely expect to see even more recipes as the spring and summer arrive! My husband too likes having smoothies more in the summer time; otherwise he drinks the rest of mine as a post-breakfast dessert!
After a great workout yesterday I thought having a smoothie full of really healthy whole foods would be a great way to replenish my body. I love adding avocado to smoothies as it gives it a creamy consistency as well as a delicious flavor...and boost of healthy fats.
Husband approved.
Ingredients:
1 cup kale leaves
1/2 avocado
1/2 cup blueberries
1 tsp almond butter
1 tsp spirulina powder
3/4 cup almond milk
1 tsp maca
1 tsp flax seeds
Directions:
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend well on high speed.
