MATCHA GREEN TEA LATTE
April 21, 2015

I have been trying to get my husband to ditch coffee, or at least lessen the amount that he drinks! When I don't buy coffee, he doesn't drink it (at home), and when I buy it, he has several a day! So I had to think of another delicious alternative. Matcha green tea powder is one of my favorite ingredients to use. Not only is matcha extremely healthy, as the leaves are chlorophyll-rich, it's rich in fiber, super high in anti-oxidants, and provides vitamin-C, zinc and magnesium, just to name ao few of its benefits. A matcha green tea latte (but the home-made kind) is one of my favorite warming drinks to make. I love the slightly bitter taste, though that can be altered with a little bit of raw honey or coconut sugar.
Husband approved.
Ingredients:
1 tsp good quality matcha green tea powder
1 tsp raw honey or coconut sugar
1 cup unsweetened almond or coconut milk
Directions:
Add all ingredients to a small pot and heat on high. Continuously whisk for about 3 minutes until the matcha is combined with the milk. Serve immediately and enjoy!
