Say that a few times. I love adding both matcha and maca into my smoothies whenever those two flavors fit, becuase they are both so healthy for you. I have discussed the health benefits of both in several posts, so I won't bore you with that information again here. This is a very green smoothie, because it contains matcha, spirulina and kale. That's a heavy dose of greens right there, which isn't bad for you, at all. The good thing about using spirulina is that a little bit goes a long way, so no need to add more than 1/2 tsp, as it has a very strong seaweed-y taste as well!
1 cup kale (stems removed)
1/2 tsp matcha powder
1/2 tsp spirulina
1 tsp maca
1 tsp chia seeds
1 cup almond milk
1 tsp coconut shavings (for topping, optional)
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Top with coconut shavings.
