    DETOXING WITH FIT N' TASTY

As I mentioned in a few blog posts earlier, juice cleanses are no longer my preffered method of detoxing, or cleansing my body. I used to do them way too often, and realized my body didnt reap the so called benefits of simply drinking juices - however, I still drink them almost every day! Because of my severe digestive issues, sticking to liquids helps me a lot, whether its juices, smoothies, or soups - but you can't live on a liquid diet forever. That said, I was really happy to do a one day detox with Fit N' Tasty, an organic cold-pressed detox juice company that's based in Lausanne and ships countrywide!

I started the day with their ginger and infused water, which is actually how I start my mornings every single day! This is the healthiest and easiest way to purify your system and get your digestive juices flowing. Juice 2 was called Deep Clean green juice which is what I drank before I did an hour long yoga class. Drinking juces before yoga is great as they fill you up enough to make it through the class without making you feel sluggish! Around 1pm I had the 3rd juice, Pimp Me Up, made out of carrot, apple and kiwi. YUM. I saved juices 4 and 5 for later, and drank lots of water in between to curb my hunger. The 4th juice was my favorite one, as I am addicted to beet juice. This was sweetened with apples and carrots and had some parsley in it as well, which is super healthy for detoxing. The 5th juice was called Dr. Green, which is composed of apples, celeri, kale and lemon. I love anything with kale in it, so this was definitely one of the best ones! Luckily, I didn't feel so hungry but I was ready for breakfast the next morning! One tip I have before and after juice cleansing, if you choose to do them, is to try and start detoxing your body before. Stick with raw foods and tons of water, and stay away from caffeine and alcohol. Once your cleanse is finished, don't go back to solid foods too quickly. Start the day with a protein filled smoothie and then have a salad or soup. Your body will thank you for that!
